Algoma Steel Group Inc. Reports First Quarter Fiscal 2025 Results
In-Line with Previously Announced Outlook
Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada - August 14, 2023 - Algoma Steel Group Inc. (TSX: AGA) ("Algoma" or the "Company") today announced its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2025, ended June 30, 2024.
The Company's financial results were in line with the previously announced outlook, with a shipping volume of 503K net tons (NT) in Q1 FY2025, up 12% from 451K in Q1 FY2024. Wages and benefits included in cost of steel revenue for the three month period ended June 30, 2024 was $96.5 million, compared to $100.2 million in the prior year period.
