Jalen Hood-Schifino, Christian Wood, Cam Reddish Lead Los Angeles Lakers to Victory Over Denver Nuggets in Game 1
Los Angeles Takes 1-0 Series Lead
Los Angeles, Calif. - April 20, 2024
Jalen Hood-Schifino, Christian Wood, and Cam Reddish combined for 75 points as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 115-107 in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series.
Hood-Schifino led the way with 28 points, while Wood added 25 and Reddish chipped in with 22. Anthony Davis also had a strong performance for the Lakers, finishing with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lakers got off to a strong start, taking a 10-point lead in the first quarter. The Nuggets fought back in the second quarter, but the Lakers were able to maintain their lead heading into halftime.
The Nuggets made a push in the third quarter, and briefly took the lead. However, the Lakers were able to regain control of the game in the fourth quarter and close out the victory.
The Lakers now have a 1-0 lead in the series. Game 2 will be played in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
