Mitchell Robinson Injury Update
Indefinitely Out with Ankle Injury
New York Knicks Center Sustains Stress Injury
The New York Knicks announced Tuesday that center Mitchell Robinson has sustained a stress injury to his surgically repaired left ankle.
Robinson suffered the injury during the team's first practice last week. He is expected to miss an indefinite amount of time while he recovers.
The 24-year-old Robinson is a key player for the Knicks, averaging 8.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game last season.
His absence will be a major blow to the Knicks, who are already without forward Julius Randle due to a sprained MCL.
